Mission statementWe inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Service(s) descriptionGirls on the Run will provide a curriculum based, after school running program for 3rd-5th and 6th-8th grade girls delivered by trained coaches and volunteers. Activities include running and team building, and aim to build self-esteem, and help create confident girls.
Program impactA recent independent study led by Dr. Maureen Weiss, an expert in Positive Youth Development, found that Girls on the Run’s intentional life skills curriculum and highly trained coaches positively impact girls’ lives by helping them increase their self-confidence, develop healthy relationships and feel good about themselves.
