Service(s) descriptionFor more than 25 years, FamilyWorks has provided responsive, participant-driven services for families in North Seattle. FamilyWorks’ mission is to partner with families to alleviate food insecurity and ensure they have resources and support to overcome systemic barriers to equity, build stable communities, and thrive. Our core programs include our Family Resource Center which offers an array of family programming including multi-lingual playgroups, parenting classes and workshops, a community closet, a resource and referral program to connect families to other public benefits and supportive services in our community; two food banks (located in Wallingford and Greenwood); a mobile food pantry; and a host of services that address food insecurity for community members marginalized by injustice.

Basic Needs (2 programs)

Programs that support students and families in receiving and accessing resources related to hunger and food security, housing insecurity/homelessness, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities.

Family Engagement & Support (1 program)

Programs that support partnership with families and caregivers so that families can understand and support their child's academic and social emotional learning, easily navigate schools/district systems, and so that schools can leverage the assets and knowledge of families within the school community.
