Service(s) descriptionThe HOPE Program will provide year-round, high-quality youth mentoring, peer engagement sessions, and quarterly field trips to youth and young adults from immigrant, refugee, and BIPOC communities who have DD/ID. Saturday field trips, conducted once a quarter, provide experiential learning opportunities for participants to practice and learn skills outside of the program’s individual and peer group learning environments. Program services and activities include practice with SEL, developing self-advocacy and job readiness and essential skills as well as future planning

Programs that support adults and students in developing 21st century skills and competencies such as self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and building trusting relationships, in order to handle ourselves, our relationships, and our work/studies effectively. This is inclusive of programs supporting alternative discipline approaches such as restorative justice.
