Organization Description
Mission statement | Our mission is the liberation of youth of color through technology and mentorship, by developing decolonized tech education programs to nurture community leaders of change. |
Service(s) description | GOKiC started in Seattle in 2016 with the motivation to strengthen our communities and nurture coding activists. We believe that culturally relevant education provides our youth with the tools to create new technology only they can create. Integrating socioemotional pedagogy at the intersections of race, gender and tech, we support our youth beyond closing the digital literacy gap. We aim to position youth at the forefront of technological advances in computing, artificial intelligence, and social activism. |
