| Mission statement | Ti'esh Harper Consulting is grounded in racial equity that speaks clearly and courageously about the ways that race and racism impact individuals, teams, systems, and institutions. We invest in building consciousness and skills that support leaders in knowing their experience with race and racism and how that intersects with the reality of our racialized world. We have a human-centered approach that centers the whole person when creating workshops, frameworks and strategies, and activities for adult learners and leaders. We believe in intentional learning and development over time that is rooted in deep authentic connection with self, others, and your connection to systems and institutions. Our theory of change is that self work of leaders around race and racism and intentional learning leads to an understanding of how racism shows up in their thoughts, perspectives, behaviors, and practices. This awareness and consciousness allows for the moving from racist to anti-racist practices as a leader, team, and organization ultimately shifting the culture of organizations and impacts on those they serve. |
| Service(s) description | Consultation –As consultants, we strategize with leaders to develop and implement anti-racist systems and policies. This looks like leaders bringing ideas and challenges that they are working through to be worked on together, or leaders asking that Ti’esh Harper Consulting work through an idea or challenge on behalf of their organization. Coaching –As coaches, we build out the skills and confidence of leaders to embody and implement anti-racist principles and practices. This looks like supporting leaders and small teams with applying the learning that their gaining from our workshops into their lives and specific work contexts. Workshops –As content creators and facilitators, create spaces for connection and learning that build collective context and knowledge of race and racism. This looks like a series of workshops that support groups of awareness of racial inequity, how racial inequity manifests, and it’s personal, interpersonal, and systemic impacts. The focus and scope of this work is determined by connecting with school leadership, gathering information and insight from key stakeholders (students, families, staff, community members), and then co-designing a plan of action with a team of school leaders before programming/services are implemented at a school. |
