Organization Description
Mission statement | Rachel Atkins (she/her) is a teaching artist and playwright. She is the scriptwriter for the multimedia educational theatre company Living Voices (https://www.livingvoices.org/), with 12 shows on history and social justice in ongoing touring repertory, seen by over 4 million audience members throughout North America. Other plays for both youth and adults have been produced extensively in Seattle and around the US, Canada, and Brazil. Rachel holds her Master’s in Educational Theatre from NYU. As a Seattle Office of Arts & Culture Arts Partner, she works with students and teachers through the region, including Arts Impact’s Voices from the Field and Native Voices Arts Academies and the SPS 21st Century Arts Teaching & Assessment Project. |
