Mission statementY-WE cultivates the power of diverse young women to be creative leaders and courageous changemakers through transformative programs within a collaborative community of belonging. We envision a society rooted in social justice, where all young women live their truth, achieve their dreams, and change our world.
Service(s) descriptionOur programs serve diverse young women, ages 13-24, along with adult women mentors, volunteers and participants in the greater Seattle area. Programs include Y-We Lead, Y-WE Nature Connections, Y-WE Write/Create Summer Camp, and Y-WE Youth Leadership Council.
Program impactEach year, we directly serve 700+ girls and women* and benefit 2,000+ community members. Of current Y-WE youth, 70% are first or second generation immigrants; 85% are of color; and 90% are from low-income backgrounds.

Expanded Learning (1 program)

Programs that provide opportunities outside of the regular school day to practice and reinforce the skills students are learning in the classroom, to get exposure to new and different areas that may spark their interest and curiosity, and to cultivate strong social emotional skills and mindsets.
