| Mission statement | XBOT ROBOTICS is dedicated to providing educational opportunities in STEM fields while: --- (1) Reinforcing the self-confidence of our students --- (2) Enhancing students’ problem solving skills through hands-on learning approach, and --- (3) Increasing awareness of the student to pursue a career in STEM disciplines. |
| Service(s) description | XBOT Robotics bringing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math hands on experiences to the young people of SE Seattle. Students work together with professional engineers to design, build, and program competition robots in six short weeks. |
| Program impact | Since year 2000, XBOT ROBOTICS has offered students an exciting opportunity: the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST visit www.usfirst.org) competition robotics teams. Students are recruited from Franklin High School Seattle, WA and surrounding sister schools. XBOT Robotics has grown to a year around program. |

Programs that provide opportunities outside of the regular school day to practice and reinforce the skills students are learning in the classroom, to get exposure to new and different areas that may spark their interest and curiosity, and to cultivate strong social emotional skills and mindsets.
