Mission statementBike Works promotes the bicycle as a vehicle for change to empower youth and build resilient communities.
Service(s) descriptionAfter-school and weekend bicycle riding clubs designed to encourage youth from diverse backgrounds to get on their bikes and keep pedaling. R.I.D.E.S Club stands for Ride, Investigate, and Discover the Environment and Society. Clubs include: Girls RIDES Club, RIDES Training Club, and Mountain Bike RIDES Club.
Program impactIn 2018, our youth programs had 1,582 youth participants in our Earn-a-Bike classes, drop-in hours, camps, & community partnerships with 74% youth of color and 100% of scholarship needs met.

College and Career Readiness (1 program)

Programs that support preparing all students for college, career, and life, including supporting students through the college admission process, exposing them to careers through internships, and helping them to develop post-secondary plans.

Expanded Learning (2 programs)

Programs that provide opportunities outside of the regular school day to practice and reinforce the skills students are learning in the classroom, to get exposure to new and different areas that may spark their interest and curiosity, and to cultivate strong social emotional skills and mindsets.
