Mission statementAssistance League of Seattle is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that removes barriers to education for under-resourced students of all ages, giving them hope and inspiration for a brighter tomorrow. We believe: When essential needs are met in the community, families will flourish When we clothe a child, we give them confidence to succeed in school When we inspire a young teen, we can change the trajectory of their lives When we give adults the opportunity to earn a degree, it lifts the entire community
Service(s) descriptionWe provide services to children and adults through the following projects: Operation School Bell, Enrichment Scholarship, Financial Aid for Education Over the years we have clothed 25,122 students, provided 665 summer camps, 217 college scholarships, returning $7.4 million to the Seattle community
Program impactWe are providing new clothing to approximately 3800 students in 85 schools within the Seattle Public School Community

Basic Needs (1 program)

Programs that support students and families in receiving and accessing resources related to hunger and food security, housing insecurity/homelessness, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities.

Expanded Learning (2 programs)

Programs that provide opportunities outside of the regular school day to practice and reinforce the skills students are learning in the classroom, to get exposure to new and different areas that may spark their interest and curiosity, and to cultivate strong social emotional skills and mindsets.
