| Program Description | Zombie Guacamole is a Washington Green Schools’ 5th grade science curriculum driven by Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Featuring local phenomenon and a hands-on “Race to Decomposition”, the unit uses the Ambitious Science Teaching framework. Created with support from Seattle Public Schools, Zombie Guacamole teaches students about the science of decomposition, the cycling of matter and energy in ecosystems, food waste and its impacts, and how to reduce waste at home and at school. |
