Program Description | Started in October 2000, serves high school and middle school-aged Southeast Asian young men (Cambodian, Cham, Filipino, Hmong, Lao, Khmu, Mien, and Vietnamese) from refugee and immigrant families. We support these young men in achieving academic success, and help them strengthen their connections to family, culture, school and community through in-school support groups that take place after-school, during the summer and through documentary film making. SEAYM also provides homework help, tutoring, job-search skills, resume workshops, college application and financial aid assistance, community service hours and recreational activities. |
